Melchior is a sweater knitted from the neck down with a round yoke featuring a pattern of crossed stitches and a few throws.
The ribbing is fancy ribbing that repeats part of the yoke pattern.
The neckline is round and enhanced in the back by a few shortened rows.
The body and sleeves are knitted entirely in stockinette.
The pattern is explained in diagrams and written instructions.
The length of the body and sleeves can be adapted to each individual’s morphology.
I knitted my version with Madelaine et Filibert’s 50% baby camel, 50% silk base. The model can be knitted in other wool qualities (merino, merino and silk, falkland…).
